Compensation: Starting wage range $18.05 - $23.16 according to job assignment
Location: London, Strathroy, and Parkhill, ON
Schedule: Varied shifts; including evenings, weekends, overnights, and public holidays

Roles & Responsibilities:
Positions involve working in short-term live-in treatment settings providing 24/7 support to children and youth
Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships and attend to the diverse needs of youth
Provide a safe and supportive environment for participants experiencing mental health diagnoses; remain calm and focused in crisis situations while utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills
Work with community social workers and other community partners to support involvement in person-centred programs that promote educational, behavioural, developmental, psychological, and emotional growth
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Human, Community, and/or Social Services (e.g., SSW, CYC, Police Foundations)
Minimum six (6) months of related experience supporting people with mental health diagnosis is preferred
Demonstrated understanding of support requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
Strong mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills, in addition to attention to detail while multi-tasking
Ability to work collaboratively with the team, and independently as necessary
Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets
Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record (mandatory)
Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check with Humana listed as the employer (mandatory)
Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position (mandatory)
Current Standard First Aid & CPR (mandatory) *Level C with AED training preferred
