About Us

Humana Community Services (Humana) is an inclusive and trusted social services agency connecting individuals and families to the right supports and services to help them live in community successfully.

Humana’s programs focus on addressing child and youth mental health concerns and providing supported community living options for children, youth and adults with specialized needs across Huron, Kent and Middlesex counties.

Humana uses standardized screening and assessment tools to develop treatment plans that connect children, youth, adults and their families to the most appropriate supports and solutions.

A continuum of evidence-based services can be accessed with our help, including immediate crisis interventions, therapeutic counselling, out-of-home treatment, respite services, transition-age programs, housing, foster care, supported-independent living, education, skill-building, groups, and more.

Agency Profile and History

Humana Community Services launched on February 14, 2021, following a thoughtful and intentional unification process combining two long-standing social services agencies, Anago (Non) Residential Resources Inc. (Anago) and WAYS Mental Health Support (WAYS).

With over 100 years of history delivering high-quality services to children, youth and adults with complex needs and their families/caregivers, Humana honours its legacy agencies and builds upon that strong foundation to meet the changing needs of families, today.

Humana is a registered Canadian charity, accredited by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation and a proud member of Pillar Nonprofit Network, Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO), and Ontario Agencies Supporting Individuals with Special Needs (OASIS).
