A new, co-living transition program for adults, LOFT provides a blended solution for both residential and short-term accommodation needs. LOFT stands for Learning, Opportunities, Foundations and Transitions.
The program goal is to create a sense of community by building meaningful connections and providing pro-social experiences while supporting individuals as they navigate their way through adulthood. With the demand for affordable housing steadily increasing, co-living is an accommodation solution responding to current community needs.
The LOFT environment provides a sense of belonging, enhances individual’s community networks and most importantly provides a safe space that focuses on social inclusion. This program allows young adults to fulfil their sustainability goals by being part of a shared economy, providing an opportunity to save for their future living accommodations.
Individuals have their own private, individual living space with shared laundry facilities, dining room, bathrooms, and gathering spaces. Individuals share the work of maintaining and cleaning common areas to keep the community running smoothly.
Humana LOFT offers flexibility in contracts, with license-style agreements rather than short hold tenancy agreements. Residents pay an all-inclusive rent and contract lengths vary between 4 to 12 months with rates adjusted based on individual lifestyles.
